Rhys is an experienced and versatile consultant & manager in operations, asset management, engineering and projects. He has extensive experience in global consultancy in the oil and gas business. He has innovative, commercially focused and well-developed business management capabilities combined with wide experience working across cultures, functioning at all levels and managing / motivating teams to deliver action and results.

He initially joined Shell in 1988 working in downstream refining and chemicals in asset manager and projects before moving to major LNG project management in 1999 and later being responsible for the assurance of Shell’s global gas and LNG project portfolio. In 2001 he joined Shell Global Solutions developing and leading integrated business improvement programmes to 3rd party clients globally. Latterly he led Shell’s technical and operational support activities to Petroleum Development Oman before joining Asab Group as a Director in 2018 prior to joining Petrogenium in 2021 as Project Excellence Practice Leader.

Outside of work, Rhys enjoys staying active – he plays football, mountain bikes, and rows, as well as spending time enjoying the cultural landscape of the Netherlands.
