Danny studied Chemical Engineering and Agricultural Industries at the University of Ghent (Belgium). He started his career in the Netherlands at Shell R&D working on producing liquid fuels from biomass. He moved into R&D of refinery processes and later into modelling.

He is a passionate world-class expert with 35 years international experience in Crude Oil, Refinery Planning and Masterplanning, Process Modelling, LP Modelling, and Optimisation Best Practices.
