Klaus is a passionate mechanical and process engineer with many years of experience in filtration and separation of coke and tar from quench fluids and coke from the furnace decoke off gas in Ethylene plants (gas and liquid cracker). He has strong analytical capabilities and is focused on trouble shooting, feasibility studies as well as cost estimation of practical and state-of-the-art solutions.
Klaus is very well connected to the major Ethylene process licensors and knows their process strengths and weaknesses in the quench loop from many plants but also from frequent discussions with several operators and plant managers.
He is focused on cost savings, low maintenance and safe operation also in reference to the environment. Klaus is an independent consultant and joint Petrogenium in 2021.
